Everything started autumn 1980, when Lennart Krus together with other who's having the same interest in Veteran Cars, called for a meeting to start an association. 50 persons with known interest in Veteran Cars and Motorcycles where called, and 21 of them came to the meeting.
In 1982 Trestads Veteranbilklubb became a member in Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet.
Today our association has grown to an amount of about 750 members. Most of the members live around the Trestad-area and in the ambient municipality, such as Bohuslän, Dalsland and Skaraborg.
Trestads Veteranbilklubb shall work for idealistic restore and preserve technical and historical interesting vehicles and parts. We shall also take care and restore in a technical way, and literary maintain the interest in the subject. Trestads Veteranbilklubb shall also seek contact with other associations with the same alignment, and spread the interest for the association's ideas by arrangements, where the general public can make contact with members and vehicles.
